Put your heart in it.....

As a child, I was one to stand up for somebody who was being picked on or befriend someone who needed a friend. I have always had a caring heart especially for those that are hurting. I have spent most of my life caring for my children and as they get older, I realize they need less time from me. While that saddens me, it also allows me time to discover other areas in life to dedicate time and energy. I believe when you decide to do a project it will always mean more if you put your heart into it.

I am a very organized person who enjoys doing crafty projects as well as encouraging others to try new things. I enjoy sharing my life experiences especially when it can comfort somebody going through similar difficulties.

I couldn't agree more! I would even go so far as to say if you're not going to put your heart into something its not worth it to put your time or anything else into it either!

I completely agree. If your heart is not devoted to the cause of what you are doing than not only are you wasting your time and energy but also that of others whos hearts are in the cause.

This can go for anything in your life, not just social activism. I think the hard part now is listening to your heart.

I have always been drawn the people who are different or seem to need help. I agree that your heart has to be devoted to helping people and I'm hoping that when I do service, it doesn't cause me to waste time or energy. In fact, I am usually jazzed by the end.
