Hmmm as far as shrinking with the world, it really differs from person to person. Now personally i like to listen to discussions on "public issues" . Its interesting to listen to the way other people look at our world, how they perceive it could be a 180 degree view from your own. I wouldn't consider that "shrinking" as some people would. But mabey im taking this quote the wrong way mabey its meant to mena "shrinking" as just isolating urself from the world. As far as that goes some people thrive in isolation, however for myself i love the company of people. Just being in a crowded room with all the energy and possibilty is just something i couldnt live without. So saying your soul shrinks is some ones personal veiw, because to truly enjoy the company of others people need to experience what its like to be by ones self.
